During July 2025, C.D. Kennedy focused on improving the reliability of package retrieval in the maxim-masterov/easybuild-easyconfigs repository. Addressing a persistent issue with Mesa package builds, Kennedy corrected the download URLs by removing an outdated prefix, ensuring tarball links now resolve to the correct versioned directories on archive.mesa3d.org. This targeted fix, implemented using Python and build system configuration skills, reduced build failures and improved the reproducibility of Mesa builds within EasyBuild. Kennedy’s work demonstrated careful attention to version-control hygiene and maintenance, directly lowering support overhead and enhancing the consistency of continuous integration workflows for the repository.
