Worked on the datasektionen/ddagen repository to enhance application security and stability through targeted dependency maintenance. Focused on upgrading Next.js to remediate one critical, two high, and one medium severity CVEs, the work involved careful patching to ensure compatibility with existing React-based front end code. By addressing these vulnerabilities, the update reduced production risk and maintained uninterrupted functionality for users. The approach prioritized minimizing downtime and preserving code paths, supporting future feature development. Utilizing JavaScript, Next.js, and React, the developer strengthened the project’s security baseline and improved traceability for CVE remediation, aligning with organizational security requirements for December 2025.
