Cebrail Ergisi developed two core features for the hmcts/enforcement-api repository, focusing on secure service interactions and enhanced communication. He implemented service-to-service authentication, introducing token-based access control to ensure only authorized services could interact with the API. Additionally, he integrated Gov Notify email notifications, expanding the API’s ability to communicate status updates to users. His work involved updating CI/CD pipelines, deployment charts, and Helm configurations to support these new mechanisms, with careful attention to security and environment variables. Using Java, YAML, and Spring Boot, Cebrail delivered robust backend improvements that increased the reliability and operational security of the enforcement-api.
