Chaitanya Sandeep Gaikwad enhanced wireless functionality in the renesas/zephyr repository by upgrading the Infineon Wi-Fi driver to version 1.2.1 and integrating the whd-expansion module. Working primarily in C and CMake, Chaitanya introduced a new Wi-Fi module configuration and updated the hal_infineon dependency to its latest revision, ensuring improved compatibility and stability for embedded systems. The work focused on build systems and driver development, consolidating changes to reduce integration risks and prepare for future features. Over the course of the month, Chaitanya delivered a single, well-scoped feature that deepened driver support and strengthened the project’s wireless capabilities.
