Worked on enhancing video playback reliability in the galacean/effects-runtime repository by addressing a complex edge case involving the gotoAndStop behavior. Focused on improving the component’s lifecycle handling, the developer introduced a pendingPause flag in TypeScript to manage pause requests that occur during play initiation, preventing errors and ensuring smoother playback control. Additionally, updated the onDisable method to automatically restart the video when the endBehavior is set to restart, which improved stability during component teardown or navigation. The work demonstrated strong skills in component development and front-end engineering, with a targeted bug fix that increased robustness for video playback scenarios.
