Zhi Wei Liang worked on the BOINC/boinc repository, focusing on resolving a bug related to MRU (Most Recently Used) computers state persistence and de-duplication within the BOINC Manager. Using C++ and leveraging skills in configuration handling, GUI development, and state management, Zhi addressed issues where MRU entries could be lost or duplicated across multiple manager windows. The solution preserved existing MRU entries when saving state and ensured deduplication upon restoration, maintaining a clean and stable MRU list. This work improved the integrity of user configuration data and enhanced the reliability of state management in the application’s user interface.
