Worked on enhancing Rust dependency parsing and SBOM generation performance for the CycloneDX/cdxgen repository. Focused on integrating the @iarna/toml library to improve the accuracy and efficiency of parsing Cargo TOML and lock files, which streamlined the dependency management process. Refactored the existing Cargo parsing logic in JavaScript to leverage this new approach, reducing overhead and aligning with ongoing pull requests. Improved the CI/CD workflow by refining the exclusion of test files, resulting in faster build times and less output noise. Delivered targeted bug fixes in the parsing flow, increasing the stability and reliability of SBOM generation for Rust projects.
