During September 2025, Crafty Renter focused on balancing the durability of storage structures in the DinnerCalzone/imp-station-14 repository to improve game balance and predictability. They implemented a feature that adjusted the health scaling of closets, lockers, and gun safes, ensuring that less secure storage options were less durable than high-security alternatives. This work involved modifying YAML configuration files and leveraging the Entity Component System architecture to fine-tune damage thresholds. By reducing the tankiness of general storage relative to gun safes, Crafty Renter addressed gameplay fairness and aligned storage durability with intended security levels, demonstrating thoughtful application of balancing and game development skills.
