During February 2025, work focused on enhancing the wopta/goworkspace repository by delivering a public Cloud Run deployment using Gen2 and enabling unauthenticated access for public endpoints. The approach involved updating the Cloud Build configuration in YAML to support unauthenticated deployments and specifying a dedicated Cloud Run service account, which streamlined release cycles and ensured secure, repeatable releases. Migrating the deployment environment to Cloud Run Gen2 improved startup performance, concurrency, and scalability. The work demonstrated practical application of DevOps principles and Google Cloud Platform services, resulting in easier public accessibility and faster rollouts without any major bugs reported during the period.
