Worked on the emscripten-core/emscripten repository, focusing on improving memory safety for streaming fetch operations. Addressed a critical bug by preventing a double-free scenario in the fetch_free function when EMSCRIPTEN_FETCH_STREAM_DATA was enabled, ensuring that memory allocation and deallocation occurred correctly during onprogress events. This fix enhanced the stability and reliability of streaming data workloads, reducing the risk of crashes and memory leaks for applications relying on the Fetch API. Demonstrated strong proficiency in C++ and JavaScript, applying careful memory management practices and a deep understanding of front end development to deliver a robust and auditable solution.
