Developed dark mode theme support for the github/forgoodfirstissue repository, focusing on enhancing accessibility and user experience across the application. Leveraged React and the Context API to implement a ThemeContext and ThemeToggleButton, enabling seamless switching between light and dark modes. Integrated Primer’s ThemeProvider and global color-mode handling to ensure consistent theming, and customized react-select components using SCSS and TypeScript for visual alignment with the active theme. Refactored the Map structure and updated the header UI to support dynamic theme changes and improve layout consistency. This work established a scalable theming foundation for future features and UI refinements.
