During January 2025, Deepak Panneer focused on stabilizing mesh backhaul configuration in the rdkcentral/rdk-wifi-hal repository. He addressed a network reliability issue by implementing a targeted fix in C to enforce a 1600 MTU on mesh backhaul interfaces following a firmware release, preventing the MTU from reverting to 1500 and ensuring consistent device performance. Drawing on his expertise in embedded systems and network configuration, Deepak’s work improved the stability of mesh networks by maintaining correct interface settings.
