Worked on the tradingview/scanner_data repository to streamline the data ingestion pipeline by removing the MGEX (Minneapolis Grain Exchange) data source and all related configurations. Focused on code refactoring and system maintenance using C++, the effort involved deprecating MGEX-specific logic and files to reduce code complexity and ongoing maintenance requirements. By eliminating this external dependency, the changes improved system stability and data consistency, while also simplifying future integration of new data sources. The work maintained clear traceability through documented commits and ticketing, reflecting a methodical approach to technical debt reduction and long-term maintainability within the existing C++ codebase.
