During February 2026, contributed a comprehensive French localization to the osmandapp/OsmAnd repository, focusing on both the main application and its Telegram integration. Leveraging XML and translation skills, completed 100% coverage of all user-facing strings, ensuring a seamless experience for French-speaking users. The work involved implementing and validating the localization workflow end-to-end via Weblate, which streamlined future updates and reduced ongoing localization effort. By tracking and managing translations through structured commits, enabled efficient maintenance and scalability for additional languages. This effort directly supported the project’s internationalization strategy and expanded accessibility for a broader user base without introducing new bugs.
