During two months on the aau-giraf/foodplanner-api repository, EQ15JQ built and enhanced meal management features, focusing on privacy, performance, and secure data handling. They implemented user-scoped meal and ingredient retrieval using C# and ASP.NET Core, modernized authorization with policy-based access control, and optimized backend performance through asynchronous programming and Task Parallel Library. Their work included integrating frontend meal creation in Flutter with backend APIs, strengthening data privacy with improved DTOs, and upgrading testing infrastructure to cover authentication scenarios. By addressing data model robustness and removing hard-coded credentials, EQ15JQ delivered maintainable, secure, and scalable backend solutions with thorough test coverage.
