Worked on the derailed/cilium and DataDog/cilium repositories, focusing on backend development and system resilience using Go, Kubernetes, and BPF. Addressed endpoint lifecycle stability by implementing a fix that unlocks endpoints during IPIdentitySync failures, preventing deadlocks and improving reliability in transient network conditions. Developed namespace-aware EndpointSlice naming to avoid cross-namespace collisions, enhancing load balancer reliability and correctness. Contributed regression tests to ensure collision-free behavior and updated documentation to clarify kernel configuration requirements, specifically CONFIG_BPF_EVENTS, supporting accurate user setup. Emphasized robust error handling, thorough testing, and clear documentation to strengthen code quality and facilitate safer feature adoption for future changes.
