Worked on enhancing the reliability and security of the Linkry feature within the acm-uiuc/core repository by focusing on backend improvements. Addressed a bug related to API route handling for unauthorized access, introducing clearer error messaging to improve system transparency and user feedback. Expanded the automated test suite for Linkry, adding new unit tests and refining existing ones to increase coverage and reduce regression risk. Leveraged skills in Node.js, AWS DynamoDB, and unit testing, using both JavaScript and TypeScript to implement these changes. The work improved observability, strengthened access controls, and enabled faster debugging for safer, more robust releases.
