Worked on the ExtremeXT/ExtremeROM repository to manage the project’s transition to end-of-life status, focusing on documentation and version control using Markdown. Delivered an official end-of-life announcement and updated the README to clearly communicate the cessation of updates and support to users. Initiated repository archival procedures, ensuring that all relevant information was preserved for future reference and that the project’s lifecycle changes were accurately reflected. This approach reduced ongoing maintenance requirements while maintaining transparency with the user base. The work emphasized clear communication, knowledge retention, and smooth project closure, leveraging strong documentation practices and careful repository management throughout the process.
