Worked on enhancing the ICB-DCM/pyPESTO repository by addressing a compatibility issue with JAX 0.6.0. Focused on dependency management and library compatibility, the work involved updating dependencies and refactoring internal Python code to support pure_callback and unpinning features introduced in the latest JAX release. This bug fix improved the stability and usability of pyPESTO for users adopting JAX 0.6.0, reducing onboarding friction and broadening the library’s compatibility. The solution was implemented using Python and reStructuredText, ensuring that users could leverage new JAX features while maintaining a smooth integration experience within the pyPESTO ecosystem.
