Worked on the nationalarchives/tna-judgments-parser repository to enhance the reliability of the judgments ingestion pipeline, focusing on backend development and error handling using C#. Addressed a critical edge case in the citation parsing routine by implementing a defensive check to prevent runtime errors when the sequence after line.SkipLast(1) was empty. This code refactoring improved ingestion stability for citations ending with a period before a citation pattern, reducing parse-time failures and supporting better data quality. The fix was linked to specific Jira and case references, ensuring traceability and accountability while contributing to more robust automated data processing workflows.
