Worked on cloud infrastructure and observability enhancements across GoogleCloudPlatform/cloud-foundation-toolkit and googleapis Firestore repositories. Delivered a new Terraform module onboarding workflow, adding comprehensive metadata to locals.tf and standardizing module governance using Terraform and HCL. Later, focused on telemetry improvements for Firestore client libraries in Java and TypeScript, implementing consistent gcp.resource.name span attributes to improve traceability and monitoring. Enhanced tracing utilities and tests in the Node.js Firestore library, enabling more accurate resource attribution and streamlined debugging. The work established standardized onboarding for infrastructure modules and improved cross-language observability, supporting maintainability and faster incident response in cloud-based backend systems.
