Worked on the belgio99/smartfactory repository to enhance and stabilize a KPI calculation engine for industrial analytics. Over two months, delivered seven features and resolved two bugs, focusing on backend development and data analysis using Python and Jupyter Notebook. Implemented max and min KPI aggregation, standardized API endpoints with machine typology support, and introduced advanced analytics such as standard deviation and median calculations. Improved production readiness by deploying the engine with a uvicorn-based web server. Enhanced code reliability through unit annotations, documentation, and robust error handling, resulting in more accurate, maintainable KPI reporting and clearer energy cost insights for business users.
