Worked on stabilizing CAN integration for the Volvo SPA battery system within the Battery-Emulator repository, focusing on improving the reliability of contactor operations. Addressed a critical bug by tuning CAN frame data for VOLVO_140_CLOSE and VOLVO_140_OPEN messages, ensuring accurate message handling and system response. Utilized C++ and embedded systems expertise to update core protocol logic with minimal risk, prioritizing code maintainability and future extensibility. The work enhanced CAN Bus communication fidelity and laid the foundation for expanded validation of CAN-based features. This targeted engineering effort improved system robustness while maintaining a lean codebase, supporting ongoing development and testing needs.
