Developed a fish shell environment activation script for the tenstorrent/tt-forge-fe repository, expanding cross-shell support for developers and users. The work involved translating the existing env/activate logic into fish shell syntax, with careful handling of environment variables and PATH updates to ensure seamless integration of tt-forge and ttmlir toolchains. By customizing the fish prompt to indicate the active environment, the script improved onboarding and reduced setup friction for fish users. This feature, implemented using shell scripting and the Fish language, aligned with existing activation flows to maintain consistency and ease future maintenance across different shell environments. No bugs were reported.
