Worked on enhancing hardware monitoring in the facebook/fboss repository by implementing temperature threshold configuration and alerting for Montblanc sensors. Focused on configuration management and sensor integration, the work established missing thresholds and updated existing values in the JSON-based sensor configuration to align with the latest hardware specifications. The approach included defining upper critical values, adjusting alarm limits, and validating changes through sensor service logs to ensure correct alerting behavior without regressions. All updates were thoroughly documented, linted, and reviewed, resulting in more reliable monitoring, faster incident detection, and reduced alert noise across the Montblanc hardware monitoring pipeline.
