Worked on the espressif/esp-zigbee-sdk repository to address a critical memory allocation issue affecting Delta OTA updates. Focused on embedded systems and firmware development, the developer identified and resolved a bug in the memory management of delta OTA header data using C. By correcting the allocation size in the OTA workflow, the fix reduced upgrade failures and improved the reliability of over-the-air updates for Zigbee devices. This targeted bug fix enhanced the stability of the SDK’s upgrade process, ensuring that header data is consistently and correctly allocated during updates. The work demonstrated attention to detail in embedded firmware and memory management.
