During January 2025, contributed to the Kong/charts repository by developing a feature that enables custom annotations for the Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) resource within the Kong Helm chart. This work involved extending the chart’s YAML templates to accept arbitrary key-value pairs through Helm values, allowing teams to attach tailored metadata and better align HPA resources with diverse deployment policies. Leveraging expertise in Helm Charts and Kubernetes, the implementation enhanced deployment flexibility and autoscaling control. The process included structured change management and validation planning to support broader testing and rollout, demonstrating a methodical approach to feature delivery and environment alignment.
