Over six months, H. Chen developed and maintained the ReChronoRain/HyperCeiler Android module, focusing on system UI customization, performance optimization, and crash resilience. Chen refactored resource handling and caching using Kotlin and Java, improving reliability and cross-version compatibility. He implemented a crash handling framework with user-facing dialogs and broadcast-based reporting, enhancing stability and diagnostics. UI enhancements included clock update optimization via Choreographer FrameCallback and advanced tile material support for dark mode and audio effects. By leveraging the Xposed Framework and Gradle-based build systems, Chen delivered features that improved user experience, maintainability, and compatibility across evolving Android versions and device types.
