Worked on the SciTools/iris repository to automate and streamline the documentation changelog process. Developed an automated workflow using Towncrier integration, replacing static version notes with a dynamic latest.rst file to ensure up-to-date release documentation. Addressed a longstanding issue by removing a deprecated Towncrier directive, which eliminated doctest warnings and improved documentation stability. Leveraged skills in automation, technical writing, and reStructuredText to reduce manual intervention in the release notes process. The work focused on enhancing maintainability and reliability of documentation workflows, demonstrating a methodical approach to both feature development and bug resolution within a Python-based documentation environment.
