In July 2025, Genashm developed core C# Flight SQL client capabilities for both the apache/arrow-dotnet and mathworks/arrow repositories, enabling .NET developers to execute SQL queries over Flight SQL. He focused on aligning the C# API with its C++ counterpart to ensure cross-language consistency within the Apache Arrow ecosystem. His work included implementing prepared statements with parameter binding, metadata handling, and robust unit and integration testing. Leveraging skills in C#, gRPC, and API design, Genashm delivered features that improved client-server communication and database connectivity, providing a solid foundation for efficient, interoperable data access without introducing new bugs.
