Worked on the link-society/flowg repository to deliver a feature focused on simplifying syslog configuration. The main contribution involved removing the deprecated FLOWG_SYSLOG_ALLOWED_ORIGINS environment variable, which reduced the configuration surface and minimized the risk of misconfiguration. This change improved maintainability and made onboarding easier for new contributors by streamlining environment-based configuration. The work demonstrated skills in Go and backend development, with an emphasis on configuration management and code cleanup. The approach aligned with best practices for security hardening and observability, laying a foundation for safer rollbacks and more efficient future changes without introducing new bugs during the period.
