Developed a feature for the ansys/pyaedt repository that automates port creation in Hfss3dLayout by generating ports from a provided list of net names. The implementation introduced the create_ports_by_nets function, which updates the internal port list and returns the created port objects, streamlining downstream workflows. This approach reduced manual steps required for port setup, enabling faster prototyping and improving reproducibility for users working with electronic design automation tools. The work was accomplished using Python and focused on API development within the EDA domain, demonstrating a targeted solution to enhance efficiency in port management without addressing bug fixes during the period.
