Contributed to microsoft/react-native-windows by developing and enhancing core components and build systems over four months. Focused on the Fabric architecture, this work included implementing onPressIn and onPressOut event support for the TextInput component, enabling richer user interaction and analytics capabilities. Integrated nightly React Native Windows builds, resolved build and lint issues, and updated dependencies to maintain CI stability and cross-package alignment. Refactored and stabilized end-to-end tests, improving reliability and reducing flakiness. Utilized C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript to deliver features, manage dependencies, and ensure compatibility, resulting in a more robust and consistent developer experience across Windows platforms.
Summary for 2025-10: Delivered a major nightly upgrade of React Native Windows to 0.81.0-nightly-20250604-1a6d466f1, establishing cross-package alignment and stabilizing the codebase for accelerated nightly testing and feature iteration. Implemented tester file updates, resolved build errors, corrected lint issues, and refreshed Flow configuration, reducing CI failures and improving long-term maintainability.
