Worked on the binaural-dev/odoo-venezuela repository to address a critical issue in the Venezuela Accounting Localization module, focusing on backend development and localization for accounting software. Delivered a targeted bug fix that recalculated foreign exchange rates based on either the invoice date or entry date when manual rates are modified, rather than relying solely on the invoice date. This adjustment improved the accuracy and reliability of financial calculations, supporting regulatory compliance and reducing the risk of incorrect FX postings. Utilized Python to implement the solution, ensuring traceability through detailed commit documentation and enhancing the maintainability of the localization codebase.
