Over three months, Andreas Schnelle contributed to UristMcStation/UristMcStation by developing and refining core gameplay and rendering systems using DM and object-oriented programming. He delivered nine features and resolved four bugs, focusing on backend development, UI/UX improvements, and rendering pipeline enhancements. His work included reorganizing rendering layers for atmospheric components, implementing user-driven pipe placement orientation, and overhauling the paint sprayer’s interface for improved usability and compatibility. Through code refactoring and targeted bug fixes, Andreas improved system stability, visual clarity, and player interaction reliability. The depth of his engineering addressed both immediate gameplay issues and long-term maintainability of the codebase.
2025-01 Monthly Summary for UristMcStation/UristMcStation: Rendering Layer Reorganization for Atmospheric Pipes and Related Components. Implemented distinct render layers for scrubbers and supply pipes, and updated layering so pressure tanks, connectors, and omni devices render above turf. This work improves visual order, clarity, and consistency of atmospheric renderings, reducing visual edge cases and laying groundwork for future component additions.

November 2024 delivered substantial business value and technical progress for UristMcStation, focusing on improving user experience, system stability, and automation of building workflows. Key features shipped include the Paint Sprayer UX overhaul with borg compatibility, lattice construction across turf types with refined material consumption and mimic interaction, and a new radial color selection for cables. In addition, we introduced an RPD pipe placement orientation system and addressed rendering and lighting stability to prevent visual regressions during dynamic floor changes. These changes reduce player friction, enable richer base-building scenarios, and improve reliability of core interactions across turf, objects, and UI.
