
Worked on the kubernetes/kube-state-metrics repository to enhance observability of Kubernetes resource lifecycles by developing and exposing new Prometheus metrics. Implemented Go-based instrumentation to track creation and deletion events for Horizontal Pod Autoscalers, as well as deletion timestamps for Deployments, DaemonSets, StatefulSets, Services, and PodDisruptionBudgets. Updated project documentation in Markdown to reflect these new metrics, improving onboarding and operational visibility. Expanded test coverage to ensure reliability and consistency across resources. These contributions enabled more effective troubleshooting, capacity planning, and automated alerting by providing detailed telemetry on resource lifecycle events using Go, Kubernetes APIs, and Prometheus.
