
Developed the foundational chat functionality for the CogitoNTNU/jarvis repository, delivering a basic chat user interface and backend API to enable end-to-end messaging. The work included architecting the data layer, presentation logic, navigation, and dependency injection, ensuring seamless integration between the Flutter frontend and backend services. Established a stable server connection to support reliable UI-backend communication and resolved issues with chat initiation from the main page. Enhanced project documentation by clarifying production readiness and updating contributor information. Demonstrated proficiency in Dart, Flutter, and backend API integration, laying the groundwork for future development and improving transparency for the team’s ongoing collaboration.
February 2025 – CogitoNTNU/jarvis: Delivered foundational chat capability and documentation improvements, driving early value and clearer collaboration visibility. Features delivered include a basic chat UI and backend API enabling end-to-end messaging with data layer, presentation logic, navigation, and dependency injection. A stable Flutter server connection was established to support UI-backend integration. Major bugs fixed include enabling chat initiation from the main page button and stabilizing the Flutter server connection. Documentation updates added a 'Reminder - Not suited for production' section to the README and updated the contributor list to include Ivan Mordovets. Overall, this work establishes the core chat pathway, improves production-readiness transparency, and enhances team clarity for ongoing development.
