Worked on the ntu-pear/PEAR_patient_service repository to enhance reliability and observability by addressing excessive log generation in the service’s logging pipeline. Focused on DevOps and log management, the work involved tuning Filebeat configuration using YAML to suppress spam logs and reduce disk usage, while ensuring that essential logs remained visible for operational needs. Adjustments included ignoring older log files and setting the log level to warning, which improved operational efficiency and maintainability. No new customer-facing features were released during this period, as the primary effort centered on backend stability and optimizing the Kubernetes-based deployment for better resource utilization.
