Worked on the ash-project/reactor repository to enhance system observability and reliability by implementing Guard Event Telemetry within the reactor system. Focused on backend development and system design using Elixir, the work introduced telemetry events for the start and stop of guard steps, along with detailed logging for guard failures, passes, and halts. Comprehensive tests were added to validate the new telemetry events and ensure the system could handle unhandled guard scenarios without crashing. These improvements strengthened the maintainability of the guard flow, enabling faster incident diagnosis and root-cause analysis while expanding test coverage for guard-related edge cases.
