Developed a targeted enhancement for TheOdinProject’s odin-bot-v2 by implementing a new Discord slash command, '/bestpractice', using JavaScript and Discord bot development skills. This feature allows users to retrieve a blog post link that discusses the flexibility new coders can have regarding best practices, and includes an optional user ping to facilitate collaboration within Discord channels. The work focused on integrating the command cleanly within the existing repository structure, ensuring maintainability and ease of future updates. No major bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering this single, well-scoped feature using slash command techniques.
