Worked on the ACCESS-NRI/ACCESS-ESM1.6 repository to enhance dependency management and configuration stability. Focused on updating spack.yaml to lock in the latest development versions of access-esm1p6 and um7, ensuring the project could benefit from upstream bug fixes and new features. Emphasized reproducible builds by carefully managing lock entries, which reduced environment drift and prepared the codebase for smoother CI validation. Utilized YAML for configuration management and dependency tracking, aligning dependencies with upstream references for consistent resolution. The work prioritized minimal disruption to ongoing development while positioning the project for greater stability and maintainability in production environments.
