Worked on the zed-industries/codex repository to enhance the CLI approval policy by integrating proper handling of the auto-edit flag. This update allowed for more flexible and accurate approval modes, directly improving automation reliability and reducing the need for manual intervention in code governance workflows. The technical approach involved refining policy evaluation logic in TypeScript to ensure the auto-edit flag was consistently considered during approval decisions. Focused on CLI development, the work also improved test coverage for auto-edit scenarios, strengthening the overall reliability of the approval process. The contribution addressed a key gap that could have blocked automated approvals in production environments.
