Joshua Chu contributed to the ucsb-cs156/proj-courses repository by delivering three new features focused on branding, navigation, and backend scalability. He updated the application’s favicon and page title to strengthen UCSB Courses branding, enhancing user trust. Using React and HTML, he improved the SectionsTable component with detail page links, course ID displays, and UI refinements, supporting better navigation and clarity. On the backend, Joshua implemented a paginated admin users endpoint and refined the UsersController, leveraging Java and the Spring framework. Throughout, he emphasized code quality by adding unit tests with JUnit, ensuring maintainability and reducing the risk of regressions.
