During November 2025, Alap U contributed to the spring-projects/spring-boot and spring-projects/spring-kafka repositories, focusing on targeted improvements in Java and the Spring Framework. Alap introduced a per-listener acknowledgment mode for @KafkaListener, enabling flexible reliability configurations in Kafka-based applications and supporting SpEL and placeholder resolution. In addition, Alap optimized correlation ID formatting by refining StringBuilder initialization, reducing logging overhead and improving runtime performance. Alap also corrected Javadoc documentation for PortInUseException, enhancing API clarity and onboarding.
