Worked on the files-community/Files repository to enhance the reliability of network storage access by addressing a bug related to SMB path resolution. Focused on improving how local drive mappings are resolved to UNC paths for SMB shares, the solution targeted intermittent access issues and improved overall performance when interacting with network storage. The approach involved careful adjustments to file system operations and network protocol handling, leveraging expertise in C#, Windows API, and network protocols. All code changes were thoroughly documented to support maintainability and future audits, ensuring that the repository remains stable and efficient for users relying on SMB network shares.
