Worked on the gleam-lang/gleam repository to deliver a targeted dependency upgrade and a refactor of version range parsing logic. Focused on improving reliability, the work involved upgrading core dependencies such as pubgrub and hexpm to their latest versions, ensuring compatibility and alignment with ecosystem standards. The version range parsing was restructured to occur at creation time, which enhanced error handling by enabling earlier and clearer reporting while reducing runtime validation overhead. Utilizing Rust, dependency management, and version control skills, the changes provided a cleaner upgrade path for related tooling and improved the consistency of dependency resolution across the codebase.
