Worked on enhancing the VSCode shell environment within the ThioJoe/_tempFork_vscode repository by updating shell detection logic to recognize both powershell and powershell-preview. Focused on improving developer onboarding and compatibility for PowerShell testing, the solution involved refining regular expressions in TypeScript to enable seamless use of the preview PowerShell shell alongside the standard version. No major bugs were reported or fixed during this period, as the primary effort centered on feature delivery. Leveraged full stack development skills and TypeScript expertise to align the shell environment with roadmap goals, supporting a broader range of PowerShell shells for developers in VSCode.
