Worked on enhancing the Archive Import feature in the benwbrum/fromthepage repository by upgrading its test suite for greater reliability and alignment with real user interactions. Focused on replacing manual sleep statements with Capybara’s built-in waiting mechanisms and improved modal dialog handling, which reduced test flakiness and better reflected actual user flows. Leveraged Ruby and Capybara within the Ruby on Rails framework to strengthen test automation, ensuring the suite was CI-ready and maintainable. These updates improved both test coverage and user experience validation, supporting faster and safer releases while demonstrating a methodical approach to web automation and UI testing practices.
