Worked on enhancing event logging in the JetBrains/intellij-community repository by developing metadata version-aware URLs and retrieval mechanisms. Focused on aligning metadata product URLs with the application's baseline version, this approach improved the consistency and accuracy of event log metadata. Implemented retrieval of bundled metadata based on baseline version, reducing drift and enabling more reliable analytics and troubleshooting. The work involved backend development using Java and Kotlin, with an emphasis on API integration and event logging. These changes improved event filtering and metadata retrieval, supporting better data quality for downstream analysis and aligning with ongoing requirements for version-based metadata resolution.
