During December 2024, Perzusmyname enhanced the GovTechSG/oobee repository by implementing Shadow DOM-aware HTML capture to improve accessibility analysis. They developed the findElementByCssSelector utility in TypeScript, enabling accurate retrieval of HTML elements, including those within shadow roots, for oobeeAccessibleLabelViolations. This front-end development work addressed the challenge of reliably extracting HTML from complex DOM structures, thereby strengthening the accuracy of web accessibility checks. By focusing on web accessibility and leveraging TypeScript, Perzusmyname contributed a targeted feature that deepened compliance analytics. The work demonstrated a solid understanding of modern front-end patterns and accessibility requirements, though it was limited in scope.
